Today was the Art & Design High School Exam. I woke up at 7am & waited for the R train to come (11 minutes, what the fuck is wrong with you MTA!) & went to Lexington Avenue. The 23ºF weather heavily contrasted with the shitload of sweat from my palms.
The test was 3 hours long and the teacher was Ms. Roberts & another teacher named Bree.
- Draw Bree sitting down on a chair.
- Prospective draw a room from imagination, real life, or copy the one shown.
- Draw a: Magazine Advert for a new brand of sneakers, an album art cover for a band (that is real), or the cover for a video game.
- Using 3D geometric shapes draw a still life, a person, anything from imagination.
- Using the lines shown make a original design or drawing.
- Make a 3-pane comic where a boy gets dumped by a girl.
I think that’s about it. Hopefully I passed & get in!! I didn’t finish some because they give you 20 minutes per part.
